Early Years Hub
Dargaville Early Years Hub manager, Lynette Matthews, organised Art in the Park in conjunction with PAFT co-ordinator Cheryl Smith. Seventeen children attended the workshop, with the children making a collage from a user-friendly cement mix, which proved popular with the children.
“The aim of the workshop was to have fun and show parents that you do not have to spend a lot of money to entertain your children.
“We went on a nature walk in the park to collect natural foliage to make their collage art and finished the session chasing bubbles on the grass,” said Lynette.

Tax Change Seminars
The IRD will be holding a free seminar in Dargaville to update the local business community and help them prepare for the Budget 2010 tax changes, particularly for the 15% GST increase, the new property depreciation rules and PAYE rates going down.
The seminar will be held from 2.00pm to 4.00pm at the Dargaville Club, Victoria St, Dargaville, on Thursday, September the 9th.
