Lyndsey Bargh Physiotherapy has a new therapist, which means the Dargaville practice is now open five days a week with the Maungaturoto practice open two days.
Dargaville physiotherapist, Scott Wills, has returned to the Kaipara after studying and working in Auckland for five years.
Lyndsey Bargh Physiotherapy is ACC accredited, which means that people can go straight to them, if they have suffered an accident related injury.
“People don’t need to go to the doctor before they come and see us. If it’s a musculoskeletal injury, people can come straight here for ACC,” said Lyndsey.
“With this practice, we are open five days a week now that we have Scott, and we are moving down to the Fosters building soon, where we will have bigger premises and two treatment rooms.
“Working here has been great, but my exercycle, rebounder and filing cabinets are all at home, so I’ll be able to bring them in for patients to use.”
Lyndsey adds that people can come and see Scott and herself even if they haven’t had an accident, as they also treat common ailments, such as sore backs.
“If these people have an injury that is not covered by ACC they can still come and see us, the only difference is the fee. I am also up at Kauri Coast Rest Home three to four days a week to work with residents,” said Lyndsey.
By chance a happy customer arrives to pay his bill. “Are you still doing all the exercises?” asks Scott. “Yes,” says the customer. “And they seem to be making all the difference.”
