Dargaville Museum recently unveiled a new brand as the ‘Kaipara Museum’ which has received mixed reviews in the community.
Dargaville Museum Society president Don Elliott said the committee had a discussion regarding the museum brand two weeks prior to the visit of television show Heritage Rescue.
“We are still trading as Dargaville Museum and still will be for a while.
As far as we are concerned it’s still our trading name.
The future of the Kaipara Museum brand will be decided once the society can meet to consider their options. “It’s not possible at present to make a decision as we need full attendance of the committee, and a lot of members are away. It will be another couple of weeks if not longer until we make a final decision,” said Don.
The new Kaipara Museum sign was unveiled as part of the ‘big reveal’ for Top Shelf Production company’s Heritage Rescue television programme.
