The Topp Twins are returning to the Dargaville Town Hall with their ‘Heading for the Hills’ tour on April 26.
The well loved duo of Jools and Lynda Topp have warned Kaipara to “expect the unexpected.
“It’s going to be fun going back to our roots and travelling up and down the countryside visiting small towns. There’s a bit more of an excitement when you visit them. Sometimes the gigs in the smaller places are the bigger events and it’s a big night out for everyone,” said Jools.
She said that the show was a perfect excuse to get off the farm and head into town for two hours of fun.
“There are no days off in the rural life so it’s great to come right to their doorstep, it’s been a long time since we were last here.” So what can we expect from New Zealand’s favourite twins?
Jools says that characters Ken and Ken, Camp mother and Camp leader will be taking the stage along with some new tricks, costumes changes on stage and of course, yodelling. Audience participation will also be part of the show and something both twins look forward to.
The girls will be taking their accommodation which Jools refers to as “Stinky” — a self sufficient shed on wheels, on tour with them.
“We love touring New Zealand. The beauty of it is that no matter what corner you turn you can be driving through bush then find yourself next to the coastline.”
