Hundreds of people turned out for the annual Settlers Day at The Kauri Museum last Saturday to enjoy the many displays and presentations. The Revolution of Industry themed event provided visitors an opportunity to view demonstrations such as gum polishing or enjoy a cup of billy tea made over an outdoor fire. Some chatted with specialists about the development of their tools of trade, while others enjoyed the musical entertainment, food and stalls, as well as the usual museum display areas. The fun family atmosphere was reportedly filled with laughter as both adults and children enjoyed spotting the models come to life.
